About Me

Simone is a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters degree (with distinction) in Clinical Psychology and over 20 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults in a range of hospital/psychiatric, community, organisational, educational, and private practice settings. This includes a number of years as a school psychologist, and as part of the Clinical Psychology team in a non-government specialist psychological service for children, adolescents and their families and, more recently, at headspace, a government-initiated early intervention service for young people. Simone has also worked at ACAP (Australian College of Applied Psychology) as a Clinical Supervisor to students undertaking post-graduate studies in Clinical Psychology.

Simone currently works as a Clinical Psychologist and psychotherapist in private practice in Willoughby, on Sydney’s North Shore. Simone’s practice encompasses work with adults and couples, as well as children, adolescents and their families. Simone believes that having the opportunity to work with individuals from a developmental perspective, and across the life-span, enhances and enriches her therapeutic work and its potential benefits for clients.

Simone adopts an integrative approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities, informed by evidence and best practice, and adapted to meet the individual needs and presenting issues of clients. These include psychodynamic, interpersonal, systemic and cognitive-behavioural approaches, including mindfulness.

Simone brings to her clinical and therapeutic work a warm, skilled and empathic approach, which is guided by a strong belief in the central role of the therapy relationship as a facilitator of therapeutic change. She offers a safe, confidential space aimed at facilitating problem-solving, resiliency and improved sense of self, and relationship with others.
